One small step of a person – and a huge leap of mankind …
Neil Armstrong, first man on the Moon, 1969.
We need to move on in a kind of challenge “Draw every day, so as not to go crazy during the world quarantine and learn something new.” This time I decided to draw something completely from scratch, fast enough and schematic enough to work out the very technique of drawing with a tablet. Learned about the method of painting from the stain, tried it – yes, an interesting approach. Its essence is that first we draw a dark silhouette of a character or object, then we outline the individual colors – and only in the third step we draw the basic lighting and volume, after which we can make the lighting more thoughtful and work well on the details.
It was a little unusual to work in this technique, and even with a minimum of layers (probably, psychologically, the algorithm that I found for myself is closer to me), but it was an interesting experience.
The worst thing is to start and do it no matter what.
To create something out of nothing.
